Matthew and Rebecca Preslar live just east of Charlotte, NC with their two children. Matthew is a baseball lover at his core. He played baseball through high school, and has since been involved in baseball in many ways. He's coached high school and legion baseball and shared the field with many college and professional players, past and present, including a World Series MVP. Currently, Matthew spends his time umpiring for assorted College and High School leagues. Rebecca works as a graphic designer who uses her skills to create the aesthetics of this website. While she was not ever a huge baseball fan, she has grown to love the experience of visiting ballparks across the country with Matthew.
HOW BALLPARK ADVENTURES BEGAN
In July of 2017, Matthew and Rebecca were vacationing through Georgia and Tennessee. Little did they know, this trip began their crazy baseball tour, and birthed a passion for sharing their great experiences with others!
In the heart of Tennessee, a recreational outing birthed a hobby, which birthed a new way of life. They realized this is something they had to experience, compare, and enjoy. Over the next five weeks, they visited seven minor league parks across the Southeast before launching ballparkadventures.com.
Rebecca's love to travel came together with Matthew's love of baseball. Together, they can get out and hit the open road, back road or interstate, and see our country’s beauty through baseball.
Our purpose is to show that going to a baseball game is the best value in entertainment. Baseball Makes Memories.
We created this website to tell our stories and bridge the gap between baseball and the people. We want to present going to the ballpark as an outing through the eyes of a middle class consumer. Even if someone doesn't love baseball, we hope to prove that a night at the ballpark is a viable entertainment option in a competitive market. We would love to see minor league baseball thrive as a business.
We hope our stories and reviews help convince you to join in the ballpark experience!
